Niseko Ramen Kazahana (ニセコにあるらーめん屋) is one of the more famous ramen joints in Niseko, also our first meal in Niseko. It was a simple no fuss ramen restaurant, with English menu for easy ordering. The waiters here also speak good English hence communications were no problems. The signature ramen here is the Niseko Ramen a.k.a. The Potato Ramen for ¥1,060, which has a layer of tasty potato foam over the miso ramen underneath it. I went for the signature ramen and Big Teddy ordered the Miso Ramen (¥850), which was a soy bean paste based broth with hearty flavour. We also order some salad and tonkatsu at the sides, all turned out good and delicious. The signature Niseko Ramen was creamy and I love the noodle textures. However, I wished it was spicier as I’m such a heavy spicy food eater. The restaurant is quite small and it quickly filled up during lunch hour. Nonetheless, the food came quickly and service was prompt so even there’s queue it would move quickly. Did I also mention that this was one of cheapest meal in Niseko? Our subsequent meals were very expensive and apparently it was the norm as the restaurants here only operate during the winter season so they must make the annual income in just that few months during the winter. Stay tune for more of reviews of restaurants in Niseko….
