Food For Thought 248 – Chicken House (치킨하우스 ) @ Solaris Mont Kiara

Chicken House at Solaris Mont Kiara is my favourite Korean Fried Chicken place in Kuala Lumpur hand down. I’d tried a few other Korean Fried Chicken places around but this is by far the best in the bunch. For RM60, you can order a whole chicken or 2 different flavoured half chicken. My favourite is the Hot Soy Sauce with Garlic Fried Chicken, which is the most spicy version of the fried chicken. If you want to turn down the heat, try the 2nd most spicy flavour is the Hot Chilli Fried Chicken. The thing about Korean fried chicken is that the chicken used is often small than the usual ones, and they are always fried twice in order to give the crunchy and crispy texture, as well as less greasy at the same time. I’m a sucker for everything spicy so the Hot Soy Sauce with Garlic Fried Chicken is definitely my favourite and best paired with some steamed rice. I also love their Korean rice wine (Makgeolli) with mango (other flavours also available like pineapple and kiwi). Even if you’re not a big fan of fried chicken, the restaurant does serve other Korean dishes, such as Korean army base stew/ military soup, pancake etc.

So if you fancy some good Korean Fried Chicken, just head down to this restaurant at Solaris Mont Kiara and get your fingers licking good moments…

Tell me your favourite Korean Fried Chicken place, wherever you are!
