Best Casual Japanese Dining Restaurant in Kuala Lumpur – Senya Izakaya (鲜家)

With so many Japanese restaurants mushrooming in Kuala Lumpur over the years, Senya Izakaya (鲜家) remains my favourite place for casual Japanese dining restaurant. They have 3 outlets, Solaris Dutamas/Publika, Jalan P.Ramlee and Mitsui Outlet Park but I usually go to the ones at Solaris Dutamas/Publika and Jalan P.Ramlee.

The place is vibrant and fuss free, just get a table and order your food from the iPad provided. Food usually come very quickly upon placing an order and my favourite dish from this restaurant is no other than the signature Hokkaido Pork Don with Ontama (Poached Egg). It’s a bowl of rice topped with pieces of barbecue pork in their special bbq sauce of which eat pieces of meat has charred crispy edges. Also each pieces of meat has evenly disturbed fats and lean parts and grilled to perfection. Every mouthful of it tasted oh so heavenly. It’s a must to order every time I was there at Senya Izakaya. It comes with a miso soup and pickles too so for RM23.80++ it’s definitely good value for money~! My other favourite include the Spicy Udon and their assorted sushi roll and sashimi.
