Best Steakhouse in Kuala Lumpur – Prime @ Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur
Last Saturday C and I finally went to Prime at Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur to try the Wagyu Burger as part of our burgers hunt. With her Starwood Member card, we got a whopping 50% off food and 20% off beverage. Not too bad for a 5-star dining experience right? Prime at Le Meridien Kuala Lumpur is one of the best steakhouse in town, serving top notch wagyu and angus beef steak for many years now.
For a start, I loved the complimentary breads (Walnut bread and black pepper crusted Emmental cheese bread) that came with the 3 different spreads at side. Our Wagyu Burger came in charcoal grilled Wagyu beef and a slab of moist foie gras sandwiched between the nicely buttered brioche. It was absolutely juicy and left me wanting for more after every bite. The braised lamb shank was extremely tender and rich in flavour. The portion of the lamb shank was quite big but we still managed to finish the main dishes, but left the potatoes and fries at the side. Our Merlot blended right in with our red meat dishes throughout the night. Last but not least, we ordered the Crepe Suzette with the preserved orange zest, liquor and vanilla ice cream that instantly woke me up after a stomach full of food.
Overall, the dinner at Prime was lovely and the food was top-notch. Definitely would love to return for their famous steak, if my wallet allows me to… ;-P But anway I don’t think I’d pay the full price for the Wagyu burger or steak, so I must get C to go with me again next time…
