Looking for Best Lunch Place in KLCC? Check out Marble 8 Restaurant @ KLCC Petronas Tower 3
Marble 8 used to be operating from a standalone bungalow at the corner of KLCC park. However, the MRT construction works had caused the demolition of the lovely bungalow building, Marble 8 since relocated to the 56th floor of KLCC Petronas Tower 3 instead, just below its sister restaurant & bar, Marini’s on 57.
Best known for their prime dry-aged steak, we went to Marble 8 recently for Mina’s birthday lunch as they have a good set lunch menu from RM78++ (3 courses) and RM118++ (4 courses), and we wanted to try the restaurant at the new location. The restaurant was quite empty on a Friday afternoon, with only a handful of tables occupied. Getting through the different level of lifts and the security check point just to arrive at 56th floor probably too much to handle for a weekday lunch for some people.
The menu was simple with a variety of dishes for selection. Even though Marble 8 is famous as a Steakhouse, the menu also caters for non-beef eater with seafood and poultry dishes. But since I’m a meat lover, I went for everything beef! For entree, I picked the Tastings of Black Angus Carpaccio, Wagyu Tartare & Wagyu Tenderloin, followed by Fettucine Carbonara with Smoked Duck and with Roasted Asparagus and Béarnaise Sauce as the main course. While the non-meat eater like Faye went for the Salmon, Tuna & Poached Lobster for entree, and Angel Hair Aglio Olio with Prawns as her main course.
The food portions were on the smaller side but just nice for lunch. I loved my Wagyu Tartare and the Tenderloin from my starter. The carbonara pasta was creamy and tasty until I wished there was more pasta on my plate. Then came the highlight of our lunch, the Grilled Black Angus Fillet! It was grilled to medium rare (a tad rarer than I usually like) but the cut of meat was very good. The meat itself was nicely seasoned and so delicious, to the extent I didn’t quite use the Béarnaise Sauce given at the side. I’d definitely come back here just for the steak.
For our sweet ending, we had a panna cotta as the dessert of the day, while Mina had a big piece of cheesecake as her complimentary birthday cake. The food was great and we really enjoyed our lunch, although I was distracted with some work emergencies. Service was prompt and the ambience was relaxing even in a dark tone setup.
Although the Petronas Twin Towers are just right next door, we didn’t get a good view of it as the windows are quite narrow in height, unlike the full view at the rooftop bar at Marini’s on 57 upstairs. I did feel that the original old charming bungalow setting is more suitable for Marble 8’s dark and warm steakhouse ambience, compared to this new high rise office block restaurant setting. Probably because I miss looking up from the old bar at the bungalow and being taken away by how beautiful the Petronas Twin Towers is from a distance across the KLCC Park. Still, this new place offers a new lease of life for Marble 8 and I hope they will continue to find success in this location. This set lunch menu is good and reasonably priced too, I’d recommend it for business or social lunches in KLCC area.

What a mouth-watering menu! I would want to practically beg for 2 choices of each course and skip dessert. Your photos cemented that for me. I love steak, and pasta, and everything else savory. I’m not sure I have a favorite steakhouse. I’ve never been to one I don’t like. 🙂
I love steak tartare and the trip of appetizer look absolutely delicious. Steak is something I never cook at home, so I really love going out to a good steakhouse – this looks like a good one!
The tenderloin looks divine. I’ll have to remember the general hint of going to a high end restaurant in city center for lunch. It seems like a great way to get a table.
The black angus carpaccio and filet look amazing! I would definitely eat here, so glad the meal was what you were looking for and that they treated you so well!
Ugh, the photos are making me hungry, the food looks amazing!
I’m having a hard time reading your post because the food looks SO DARN GOOD. Oh my goodness, the lobster! The filet! The fettucine carbonara with smoked duck! I need to buy a plane ticket…. 🙂
What is the currency conversion rate? All the food looks soooo good- I love the bite-sized starters. Can’t ever say no to a good steak!
Oh, not fair to read this when I’m hungry! I love steak houses and Marble 8 looks like a particularly good one. And I’m with Juli up there, I think I’d skip dessert and do more of the savory appetizers and mains.
were you sponsored by marble 8? or did you pay for the meal out of pocket?
I paid for the lunch of course. If it was sponsored I’d disclose it accordingly.
