Food For Thought 229 – Naughty Nuri’s @ Desa Sri Hartamas

Naughty Nuri’s Desa Sri Hartamas is the franchise of the original Ubud Bali’s outlet. I’d been to the Ubud restaurant long time ago (link here) so when it first came to KL end of last year, I made a few attempts to check out the place but was put off by the long waiting list for a table. So after more than 8 months later, I finally went to try out the food at this Desa Sri Hartamas restaurant by just walk in without waiting on one Friday evening. The place was still packed with people and the ambiance was lively and the waiters and waitresses put up a dance show mid-way during our dinner. Food came quickly after we ordered which was great for us who were starving. I loved the Signature Ribs (RM39++) and the Ikan Chilli Api (RM21++). The Signature Ribs was extremely juicy and tender with the smoky taste covered in sticky bbq sauce. The Ikan Chilli Api was the best fish appetizer that I ever had. Period~! It was spicy and cooked to perfection, how I wished there was more of it for the price we paid. The other appetizer, Ayam Bumbu Rojak (RM18++) and the other main dish, Notorious Short Ribs with Rice (RM36++) was good too but they were unable to top the previous 2 dishes in my favourites list. The restaurant even has 2 happy hour slots for the evening (6-8pm and 10-12pm if I’m not mistaken) so it’s a good place to come for late dinner and cheaper drinks. Since it’s so close to where I stay, I’d definitely come back for more juicy bbq pork ribs~!
