Soi Bangla is the must go nightlife spot of Patong beach with lots and lots of pubs and discos occupying the alleys of this famous street. Tourists filled this street every night, as well as the working girls and lady boys. Most of the alcohol there were cheap but fake so beer is always the safer choice. We had fun drinking and watching the lady boys danced on the table top, and how the tourists and locals interacted. One of my girlfriends was amazed by how pretty the lady boys could be, but come’on this is THAILAND! 

However I was surprise to find that Soi Bangla was much more decent than the Pattaya’s Walking Street or Bangkok’s Soi Cowboy and Patpong. Crowds were less rowdy and less right light district feel although many occasions the locals would come up and asked if want to watch the ‘Ping Pong’ show (i.e. sex show). Well Thailand is famous for their sex tourism but we were not looking for those kind of fun ;-P

After two drinks and enough of watching lady boys dancing and posing (some of them were more than happy to take out their tops and danced topless), we called it a night and walked back to our hotel for some much need beauty sleep….
