I had cravings for Tom Yum Noodles the other day so I dragged my sister to this new place in Bangsar since Big Teddy had gone to Phuket for a stag do. This restaurant located at near the junction of Jalan Maarof and Jalan Bangsar, and it was a bad idea to go there on a Saturday noon when the other auto related shops around it still opens hence we spent a long time looking for a car park and failed which resulted us parking across the street and walked over.
My sister was already grumpy over the going round and round looking for food, so I hoped the food would cheer her up a little. The restaurant was almost full when we got there, the decor is simple yet colorful. Service was a little slow as there’s only 2 waiters running around but we got our order taken shortly after.
Our Thai Ice Tea and Thai Soya Bean (RM5 each) and fish cake (RM7) came first and the portions were a little underwhelming but they tasted delicious and I was glad there was finally food to cheer my sister up. Then came the Tom Yum Noodle (RM13 for regular bowl) with creamy Tom Yum Soup, large prawn, half an egg and the unique Thai rice vermicelli. The creamy Tom Yum Soup was quite spicy and I loved it. I think I finished almost all the soup in the end and still craving for more. They almost forgot about out fried chicken wings (RM7) but it was just alright (and small) and we could have just skipped it if they forgot our order. Nonetheless, still a great Tom Yum Noodle Soup place and I’ll definitely come back for the noodle, maybe for the Super Bowl version~!
On the other hand, will be in Bangkok in less than 6 hours. Can’t wait for more authentic Thai food~!
