Bangkok is one of the best cities for food and you can never get hungry in Bangkok. Apart from the usual Thai cuisine, Bangkok has actually quite a lot of Italian restaurants with some really good ones like Zanotti. Located in the quiet alley near Saladaeng BTS station, this long established Italian Restaurant is one of the best place to get good and authentic Italian food without breaking a bank.
We went for late dinner after a late evening body massage at Body Tune nearby, it was quite a walk through the dim alley down the Saladaeng Road but we were extremely delighted to have found this restaurant and got ourselves seated within minutes even though we didn’t have a reservation. Perhaps we were there quite late about 8.30pm.
The menu was quite extensive and we were having some tough time choosing our food cause everything seemed so nice and delicious. In the end, we settled for a Octopus Salad (THB350), Leek and Potato Cream Soup (THB260), Parma Ham Pizza (THB320) and Hand Made Pasta with Creamy Lamb Sauce (THB340). Quite a lot of food I must say, coupled with the complimentary basket of breads, we barely finished the salad, soup and pasta, with half the pizza untouched. Their food portions were generous, and absolutely delicious in taste. I loved the Hand Made Pasta the most, followed by their thin crust Parma Ham Pizza.
Overall, food were great, service was attentive, good value for money, we only spent THB1,495 (10% service tax and 7% VAT included) for a sumptuous Italian meal for two. I’d definitely come back here again the next time I go to Bangkok!
