Bangkok 123 – Food Courts of Platinum Fashion Mall, Central World and Siam Paragon

Food courts in Bangkok Shopping Malls are the easiest place to get fed before or after a long day of shopping. Below are some of my favourite food courts in Bangkok that I visited last February (except for MBK’s The Fifth Food Avenue which I didn’t manage to drop by). I always love the Bangkok Food Court whereby they mostly use the card system (either prepaid or post paid) to pay for your food when you order, instead of one scrambling to look for notes and coins to pay for your food. Most of the Thai Cuisine in these food court are cheap around THB50-80 per dish.
  1. Platinum Fashion Mall’s Food Court – located at the sixth floor of this wholesale shopping mall with 28 stalls serving delicious and cheap Thai cuisine. This is a prepaid food court whereby you have to pay for the prepaid card and let the food stalls deduct from it. Unused value could be refunded at the food court card counters.
Fried Pork over Rice
One of my all time favourite – Stewed Pork Leg over Rice (A little sour with the vinegar but super delicious with the chili sauce)
Platinum Fashion Mall – My favourite shopping destination in Bangkok!
Right next to the Platinum Fashion Mall is the Grand Diamond Plaza (looked new but I didn’t have the time to check it out)

Getting There: BTS Siam, BTS Chitlom, BTS Ratchatewi with 10-15 minutes walk. (I usually take the taxi)

2. Central World’s Flavour Food Court – Hiding inside the Central Food
Hall on the 7th level (next to SF World Cinema) with 24 stalls. This is a post paid food court whereby you let the food stall record your bill in the card given and pay upon exit. Also this food court has a good down town view if you are seated next to the window (we couldn’t get a window table then).

Lunch crowd had not arrive yet
Look for this food court in Central World
Dry Crispy Noodle (Forgot what was it called in Thai)
My favourite Thai Tea is available here in the Central World’s Flavour Food Court, the Number One Brand Thai Tea! Definitely better than our Teh Tarik cause this Thai Tea is full of fragrance and not as sweet. Check out their official website here.
Number One Brand Thai Tea (Love their hard plastic cup too)
My favourite Thai Dessert – Mango with Sticky Rice (Quite big portion and tasted better than the one in Siam Paragon’s Food Hall)
