Our first stop after checking into the hotel, we took the BTS and hopped to Siam area before dinner. Since we just want to check out what is the latest fashion trends in Bangkok, we decided to walk to Siam Square which is just right across the Siam Paragon. Siam Square is known for its young and trendy selection of fashion items and usually gets busy at night with lots of stalls set up along the streets selling everything from clothes, accessories, shoes, electronics, makeups, and many more. During the day it is mainly shops and boutiques hopping with local designer-label apparel, jewelry, accessories. It is quite a huge area to cover on foot so thankfully I had my super comfy
FitFlop on.
I saw lot of chiffon/mesh top and dresses so that was probably the main trend this year in Bangkok. I didn’t spend much money at Siam Square as it was our first stop and I wanted to reserve my cash for the Platinum Mall and Chatuchak Weekend Market. I did notice that some of the shops are selling quite expensive stuff in Bangkok standard especially for some local designers brands. Of course there were always some cheap and good stuff if you look hard enough and bargain enough. In the end I only bought a black beaded necklace for THB100 which I fell in love with immediately.
