Somboon Seafood has always been my favourite seafood restaurant in Bangkok. This time I wasted no time to head back there for my 1st dinner in Bangkok. We walked from Sala Daeng BTS Station (near Patpong Night Market) to the Surawong Branch around the corner. We got there slightly late close to 9pm as we hoped to avoid the dinner crowd and luckily we got ourselves seated almost immediately. As we were 2 hungry girls and it was our 1st night in Bangkok, we ordered lots of food including the signature curry crabs (my friend’s favourite and she couldn’t stop eating it), steamed seabass with lime and chili (my favourite and I couldn’t stop eating it), grilled cockles, and the roast crabs with glass noodles. All the food turned out very well, and I love the seabass and the roast crabs with glass noodles the most. The curry crabs is flavourful but not spicy and a little too oily to my taste. The steamed seabass was so good and the meat was so frsh fresh I think we finished the entire fish although it came with a large portion. The grilled cockles are good too with the chili sauce although some might not like the blood that still attached to the cockles. For only THB1,300, we had an extremely satisfied and sumptuous seafood dinner with 2 large Chang beer. Until today, my friend couldn’t stop praising the restaurant even she is back here. I’m missing their food now as I’m typing this post…..

Hi, may I knw how to go to the original somboon seafood fm platinum mall? Always wanted to go bt am afraid of being send to other somboon.
Hi RYK, I have never had a problem getting to any of the Somboon Seafood via taxi or BTS using the map provided from the website. Perhaps you could print the map and show it the taxi driver, else if you have data connection in Thailand (their visitor SIM card is extremely cheap) you could always use Google map to locate their locations. Good luck~!
