Where To Eat In Bali? Check Out Lia Cafe At Jimbara Bay
After Uluwatu, the night has fallen on us and it’s about time for dinner. After a not so short drive (about half an hour), we arrived at Jimbaran Bay which famous for its seafood restaurants along the beach with candlelit tables on the sands. At first our tour guide brought us to one restaurant which were nicely decorated with super expensive menu, then we decided to check out other alternatives which clearly pissed off our tour guide as he was suppose to get commission from that restaurant if we were the fools who ate there. So reluctantly he took us further down the road to check out other restaurants, which included Lia Cafe.
In the end we settled for Lia Cafe since some of the blogs recommended the place. It was further down the beach where a row of not as nicely decorated restaurants were located. For almost half the price cheaper, Lia Cafe offered some good seafood packages from IDR180,000 (≈RM59) to IDR700,000 (≈RM230) with side dishes like soup, salad, sauces, rice, fruits and soft drinks. It took a while for the food to arrive but we were more than happy to see the basket of seafood nicely barbequed and served. The food was good and we enjoyed everything about it. Also we had extra entertainment with a mobile singing band going around the tables singing lovely dovey songs to serenade the diners, well except for ours. Maybe we were a bunch of Asians unlike other tables filled with Caucasians who expected to tip more, which I hoped they did. ^o^
So if you are looking for good value seafood dinner in Bali with a beatiful sunset view over Jimbaran Beach, check out the restaurants along JImbaran Bay. Lia Cafe is defintiely worth a try.
