Hokkaido 106 – Bar Gyu+ (a.k.a. The Fridge Door Bar) バーギュータス @ Niseko

Best Bar in Niseko – Bar Gyu+ (a.k.a. The Fridge Door Bar) バーギュータス

After dinner at Steak Rosso Rosso, we wandered into Bar Gyu+ (a.k.a. The Fridge Door Bar) バーギュータス nearby. Known to be the best bar in Niseko, we were lucky to find 2 seats at the bar watching the heavy snow falling by the window. The entrance to the bar was the most interesting part whereby it was made out of a less than 5 feet tall fridge door, even short person like myself had to bend to get into the bar. After that, the full bar over the large window panes welcomed us with its large selections of drinks and Japanese whisky.

We picked the Nikka Whisky tasting set with 3 different whisky for ¥3,800 and Hibiki 17 years for ¥2,400 (altogether about US$59), since Japanese whiskies are hot in demand all over the world right now. All tasted good and intriguing in their own ways, we finished our drinks while watching the snow falling behind the bar. It was a relaxing way to end our evening and warmed up our bodies before we walked back to our hotel in the heavy snow again…

Any Japanese whisky lovers out there? Give me a shout out~!
