Food For Thought 224 – Sao Nam Vietnamese Restaurant @ Tengkat Tong Shin

Sao Nam Vietnamese Restaurant has been around for more than 10 years now as long as I remembered. When I 1st started working many years ago, we had a business dinner here and this was the place I first tried the Vietnamese weasel coffee, or better known as Kopi Luwak/ Civet Coffee.
Since Big Teddy is a big fan of Sao Nam, we have been coming back here more often recently. Our usual favourites include the Fresh Prawn Spring Rolls (I so love their dipping sauce), the Vietnames Pancake (messy to eat but very delicious), Beef Noodle Soup or better known as Pho (I don’t usually order noodle soup but this is very tasty and I always wish there’s more rice vermicelli). Big Teddy always order the fish curry which is extremely creamy in texture but not my type of Vietnamese food.
Well, there’s not many Vietnamese restaurants around in Klang Valley, Sao Nam is like a hidden gem in the very crowded Jalan Alor area overshadowed by all the massage parlours on Tengkat Tong Shin. They have another outlet at Empire Shopping Gallery in Subang Jaya too.
