Food For Thought 216 – La Scala @ Jalan Mayang

La Scala Italian Restaurant is one of the newest fine dining restaurants down town. It has a roof top bar with partial KLCC Twin Tower view. Big Teddy and I went for a drink at the roof top bar first on a Saturday night and I absolutely love the Belini cocktail (RM36+). The bar was pretty empty and we were the only patrons around, perfect for lots of selfie/wefie time.
Then we went downstairs for our dinner. The restaurant was so quiet with few other diners in the room, we literally had to whisper in order not to be seen as rude. Big Teddy had an issue with the decor, he said the place was just too grey to his taste. I think a touch of turquoise or blue would definitely lighten up the place.
Service was prompt, and we were never short of attention whenever we needed anything. Food was nothing short of amazing and we enjoyed our 3-courses dinner very much. Some might say the portions were small but I don’t expect otherwise at such a fine dining place anyway. Apart from the alcohol (we had cocktail, beer, wine and lemoncello) which made up of half of our final bill, the food was actually quite reasonably priced for such a fine quality.
Well, some of our food pictures were not captured as Big Teddy just couldn’t wait to dig into his food before my camera could focus and snap fast enough. Anyway, below are some of the pictures from our dinner at La Scala…
