Today when I went for a walk in The Curve I stumbled upon this bargain shop – Daiso Japan at Level 2 (Next to Nichii Fashion City). I went inside to check out the stuff as I always amazed by all the Japanese products. Everything inside was selling at RM5.00 flat so I had a tough time to choose the things that I really needed. They have practically everything from kitchenware, beauty products, stationary, toiletry, gardening tools, electrical items, DIY tools, toys, household products. I was amazed by the variety of products available, especially the small makeup items fake eyelashes, fake nails, mascara, as well as all the stationary items from Japan. I wish I could buy more stuff but since they only accept cash payment so I only got the items that I really ‘need’, i.e. the eye mask, silver polishing cloth and the shoe tree.
Claimed to be Japan’s No.1 ranking living ware supplier, Daiso is a major player in the 100 yen shop industry and it is very famous in Asia. I was wondering why Malaysia has no Daiso outlet until 13 December 2008 when Daiso opened its second outlet in The Curve. The other outlet in Malaysia is located at Borneo Hypermall, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah opened since June 2008.
