Since the 60s, Hui Lau Shan has evolved and still maintains as one of the favourite dessert joints of many Hongkies. Whenever I’m in Hong Kong, I will never miss the chance to try the famous local dessert, Chilled Mango Puree with Sago & Pomelo (杨枝甘露). Since there is a Hui Lau Shan outlet around the corner from our hotel, we of course went to get our sweet tooth fixed with the Chilled Mango Puree with Sago & Pomelo. It is cold dessert with fresh mango, sago & pamelo, mixed with milk and ice cream, which all blend into a heavenly taste. I just couldn’t get enough of this dessert!
