Over the weekend we had a company event at Ancasa Resort All Suites at Port Dickson, a recently upgraded 4-star hotel. The place was a downright disappointment. The room was very old with lousy air conditioner and water heater. Though they were very proud of their Balinese style suite design but I found nothing interesting about it. The swimming pool was filled with kids and it looked quite dirty so I stayed away from the pool.
I liked the design of Bali Garden, a 3rd party operating spa located within the resort. It looked very serene but the price of the spa services is sky high, at least 2 times higher than normal KL spa.
My 3 days 2 nights stay at Ancasa was much about running around Port Dickson, Nilai & Seremban 2 to cover the sport events of my company’s annual inter-club game with our Singapore counterpart. As usual, the Malaysian was beaten by the ‘kiasu’ Singaporean by merely 1 point this year. I’m still waiting for the day that I’m not on the loosing side.
