Best Courtyard Hotel in Beijing – Red Wall Garden Hotel

So after 4 years since I left China I finally went back to Beijing last February, my favourite city in China overall. I wanted to show Big Teddy this magnificent city that has such unique blend of history, culture and modernization. Our flight was delayed and arrived late after midnight. Luckily our 1st hotel in Beijing, Red Wall Garden Hotel had arranged for airport pick up service for those who stay 3 nights minimum and the driver was patiently waiting for us at the arrival hall even we were very late. For a total RMB3,735 (RMB747 per night), we got ourselves a lovely double deluxe room for 5 nights in this highly rated boutique courtyard hotel in the central of Beijing, walking distance to Wang Fu Jing and Tian An Men Square.

For a total RMB3,735 (RMB747 per night), we got ourselves a lovely double deluxe room for 5 nights in this highly rated boutique courtyard hotel in the central of Beijing, walking distance to Wang Fu Jing and Tian An Men Square. Deluxe rooms are 40 square meters (430 sq. feet) rooms with double cosy beds with down duvets. The rooms have a traditional design that meets modern amenities such as LCD-TV, mini-bar, air-condition/ heater, safe, free WIFI and rain shower. I loved the design of the room that made me felt warm and comfortable. Breakfast was included throughout our stay and the spread was quite limited unfortunately not so much to my taste.

Nonetheless, this lovely hotel is a good base to move around as it’s so close to the heart of Beijing, we literally walked everywhere from this hotel to Wang Fu Jing, Tian An Men and Forbidden City. The taxi had some hard times finding this hotel but with smartphone nowadays, you will never get lost whenever you are travelling so long you have a data connection.
