Last weekend, C and I decided to meet for brunch at this new fusion Korean cafe at Publika. We were quite lost looking for this place and ended up walking one big round of Publika before find it.
Namoo means ‘tree’ in korean, this cafe definitely has the ‘green’ feel to it with the wooden interior and a small park and playground right next to it.
The paper menu was a lil worn out when the waiters gave it to us, nowadays everybody seems to like the idea of stashing their paper menu and clip them together (Acme, Plan B etc). We knew exactly what we wanted as we both burger lovers, so we decided to order the Bulgogi Beef Burger (RM19.90) and the Bibi Rice Beef Burger (RM23.90) to share. Also we ordered the Yuza tea (RM7.90) just to quench our thirst after walking for so long looking for this cafe.
Food came quickly although it was a busy lunch crowd, the Bulgogi Beef Burger tasted a little too sweet to my liking, and C didn’t like the mayonnaise taste that overpowered the taste of the beef. I like the Bibi Rice Beed Burger better (probably because of the fried egg). The rice bun were a lil tasteless so I added chili sauce to it, but it was quite a filling burger as both of us were so full after finishing the burgers and had no more rooms for desserts. Both burgers came with salads and wedges as sides.
Overall, the fusion burgers were slightly underwhelming but definitely offered a different twist to the usual burgers. We would probably return to try their desserts since this is supposedly Korean dessert cafe.
