Thean Chun Coffee Shop is one of the oldest coffee shop in Ipoh and since it’s just downstairs from where we were staying, we wouldn’t miss the chance to savour the local favourite breakfast food here before we headed back to KL. The place was still quite packed when we came down after 10am. This a typical Chinese coffee shop so you have to order food from the individual stalls in the shop and pay when the food is served to your table. We had the Pork Satay, Chee Cheong Fun and of course the famous Shredded Chicken Kuey Teow Soup or better known as Sha Hor Fun although the latter took way too long to arrive after we had finished all the other food. We almost gave up on the Shredded Chicken Kuey Teow Soup but finally it came after a few reminders. Overall, the food at Thean Chun is simple and nice, if you don’t mind the waiting. Price ranges from RM5-RM10+, depending on the food and portions.
