Located inside Isetan 1 Utama’s famous Eat Paradise, Ichiro Sushi Bar is the place for sushi in 1 Utama. Pricey indeed but Japanese food is something that you get what you pay, especially outside of Japan. I wanted a quick bite and small meal when I was there last month, but as usual my hands got itchy and ordered so much food that we barely could finish. I started with the Mini Udon with Inari Sushi set (RM13.80++) and my sister ordered the Tempura Don (RM27.80++). The mini udon was a little bland but I absolutely loved the Inari Sushi. Some might say it’s a cheap sushi but still I love every bite of it. The Tempura Don was very good with 2 big fried prawns and some fried vegetables. Portion wise were quite small so we added the Volcano Roll (RM19.80++). However, the vinegar rice was too loose and kept falling out before we could put it in our mouth. Otherwise, the sushi would be perfect. Finally we decided to try the Chicken Karaage (RM8.80++) which was very juicy and delicious. In the end, we had a lovely meal without any fuss, probably the iPad menu and ordering system was extremely efficient and the service was swift. I heard they have very good set lunch menu for weekdays maybe one of these days I should pop by when I’m not working…
