Singapore 108 – Lunch at Shangri-La’s Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa

My last trip to Singapore in January I made a point to catch up with my good buddy, Pauline. It had been ages since we last met after Tianjin, and seeing her again made me kinda miss those crazy days in China. She’s attached to Singapore Shangri-La’s Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa after her stint in China, so I went over to the resort to meet her as she was the manager on duty of that particular day and couldn’t leave the resort freely.
It was an extremely hot day when we arrived at the resort slightly after 2pm. Pauline was her usual bubbly self greeted us at the lobby before she took us for lunch at Silver Shell Cafe. John was also there and it was great to see the two of them again. We had good time catching up while Pauline being Pauline also kept on working (i.e. lecturing the staff, giving feedback to the chef, coordinating stuff for her hotel guests and so many more). I always admire her passion and dedication to her job, I don’t think I’m any close to that level of dedication….
I have to admit that I’m very bad when it comes to keeping in touch with friends, a short lunch is never enough time to catch up with someone that you had not met for almost 2 years. I must get her to come over to KL to lepak with me soon…..
