Beijing 104 – Tian An Men Square (天安门广场)

Tian An Men Square is the heart of Beijing and the largest public square in the world, measuring 44-hectare. I went there alone in the morning of my day-3 trip at Beijing and I went back there again at night with my sister. The weather was so hot in the morning til I got sunburned. The place is huge and filled with tourists from all walks. Main part of the square was covered with Paralympic’s decoration in anticipation of the coming Paralympic on 6th Sept 2008. I managed to make one round of the square before my legs finally quited on me. At night, we made a quick stop to check out how would the place looked like at night and snapped some pictures for memory sake. Cheers to Chairman Mao for all his work to open/prepare the path for China to become such a strong nation today.
