Generation Y (sometimes referred to as “Millennials”) is always refers to a specific cohort of individuals born, roughly, between 1980-94. Being a Gen-Y worker & supervisor at the same time, I’m sometimes stucked in the middle as I have typical Gen-X & Gen-Y staff together which I have to manage differently. I think I’m more appealing to the Gen-Y staff as my approach is always very direct & upfront. As for the Gen-X staff, I think they have a lot to pick up especially the fast pace that I adopt at work. I’m ambitious yet sometimes lazy. Patience is always what I lack and I tends to overlook on details. But I do believe that I have the right attitude & the leadership charisma and I could do big things in life. Well let’s hope that I could do things big the Gen-Y way!
