Our last hotel in Osaka was Hotel Monterey Grasmere Osaka near Namba. We paid ¥39,000 for 3 nights for 3 person (¥13,000 per person) which is quite reasonable. The main reason I chose this hotel was because it is located next to the airport bus terminal OCAT (literally next door building) which we would take the bus directly to the airport with our heavy luggage, rather than lugging them to the train station although the JR Station is next to the hotel too. Also they had the nice 3 beds room which was easy for us girls.
The room was lovely and fully equipped with the necessities so I didn’t have any complaint. However, the oddest part of the hotel was the chapel located right inside the hotel lobby at 22nd floor. I found that quite weird but it seemed like this is one of the signature features for this chain of hotel. I subsequently stayed at another Hotel Menterey in Sapporo which also has a chapel inside the hotel lobby.
The location of the hotel is convenient which enabled us to walk to Dotonbori quite easily within 5-10 minutes with the underground walkaway.
