London 108 – Walking Around Westminster Bridge to See Big Ben & Palace of Westminster

After Westminster Abbey, we walked across to the most iconic building in the UK, the Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament near the Westminster Bridge. The Big Ben is now officially known as the Elizabeth Tower, which was renamed to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Elizabeth II in 2012. I was so happy to finally see the Big Ben with my own eyes and it was definitely one of the highlights of my London trip. After taking lots and lots pictures of the Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. We walked on the Westminster Bridge and saw the River Thames and London Eye for the 1st time too. I thought we did pretty well on 1st day of sight seeing in London, which we covered Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace, Victoria Memorial, The Mall, Wellington Arch, Apsley House, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament all by foot!
