Shanghai People’s Square (上海人民广场) is the center piece of Puxi (浦西)where a few landmarks of Shanghai are located, like the following:-
- Shanghai Municipal Display Hall (上海城市规划展示馆)is the place to find out the blueprint of Shanghai city for now & for the future. It has one of the world’s biggest city model inside its display hall on 3rd floor. Entry fee is RMB30 but I didn’t have the time to go inside. For more information, please check out its official website: www.supec.org
- Shanghai Museum (上海博物馆)is another landmark building at the People’s Square. The entry to the museum is free & the queue to get inside was horrendous when I was there the other day so again I didn’t manage to get inside. I wonder why Shanghai is always filled with people, especially on the weekends. For more information, please check out its official website: www.shanghaimuseum.net
- Shanghai Grand Theater (上海大剧院) is the place hosted many broadway plays like ‘Cat’ , ‘Phantom of the Opera’, ‘Lion King’ & many more. It looks cool from the outside but I still prefer the Beijing National Theater. For more information, please check out its official website: www.shgtheatre.com
