Food For Thought 235 – Yellow Brick Road @ Batai Village

Yellow Brick Road at Batai Village is one of the most raved about new cafe in town this year. Famous for its long queue for table, I found myself foolish to follow the hype to have came here not once, but 3 times. The service definitely irked me to most about this place as the hostess we encountered was unfriendly and borderline rude (2 out of 3 times as the 3rd time my friends already seated outside so I don’t have to see he long face). Not very good 1st impression but still I would be able to overlook that if the food is good. However, the food was just okay, nothing memorable but they really should get rid of the pulled beef in its pasta and breakfast, they were absolutely horrible! The team did a much better job with The Red Beanbag (my previous post here). This place may be better for coffee and cake but I’m not a coffee or cake person so unfortunately I’m in no rush to return to this place since there are so many other better cafes around…
