This should be my last post on my February Bangkok trip, which I know is long overdue. Cabbages and Condoms (C&C) Restaurant was the restaurant we went for last dinner before we left Bangkok. Walking distance from Asoke BTS Station, this is one of the most quirky restaurant I’d ever been. Filled with condoms decorations everywhere from the mannequins and lights, and humorous yet educational wall posters all over the restaurant, we were already very entertained even before sitting down at our table.

After a lot of photos taken along our way in, we were finally seated inside the restaurant. We started off with the Chang beers, while waiting for our other food to come. We ordered the fried catfish in spicy and sour salad, deep-fried fish cakes, Tom Yum Gung, chicken thick curry, steamed whole sea bass with chilli, lemons, and vegetable, and ended with waster chestnut dessert. Food were all tasted alright, but not as good as the Somboon Seafood. Price wise it was quite reasonable, given it was partial charity outfit with their profit used to their objective to promote safe sex and family planning.

When we called for the bill, we were given the complimentary condoms below instead of the usual mints. We were laughing at it until we saw the even more hilarious signage outside saying: “No mints, only condoms with Republican size and Democrat size”. LoL~!

Overall it was quite an interesting dining experience, exploring the restaurant is definitely the most fun thing to do although the Thai food served were averagely alright. For those who love all the funny and quirky messages, this restaurant sure have lots to make you smile a lot, that is if you understand the jokes….
