Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is
UNESCO Global Geopark located in Hunan Province of China. It is famous for its pillar like formations throughout the mountains, and recently famously known as the stunning mountain that inspired Avatar’s ‘floating peaks’. There is domestic flight directly to city of Zhangjiajie and from the city center, we hired a local tour guide and a van that took us to the 45 minutes drive away National Forrest Park. Entrance ticket is about RMB60 per person. The long walk around the national park is extremely tiring, but it was all worthwhile for the amazing scenic mountain views.
